How a list is chosen

We start from what the original game actually does — its pacing, its movement, its difficulty, its tone, its structure — not from its genre tag. A pick earns its place by sharing the specific thing people loved, and the reason is written next to it. Lists are as long as the good answers, which is why they have different lengths.

Facts and data

Release years, platforms, genres and cover art come from the RAWG database and are checked against the publisher when they conflict. Availability changes often — remasters, subscriptions, delistings — so pages say where a game was released and suggest checking your store for how to play it today.

Scores and reviews

We do not assign review scores and we do not publish reviews. Where a page shows a critic or community score, it comes from a named third party. We do not mark up third-party scores as our own ratings in search results.

Advertising and retailer links

Ads are served by Google AdSense and labelled "Advertisement". Buy buttons link to Amazon, eBay and Kinguin, which may pay us a commission; product listings on gear pages come from Amazon. None of that affects which games are on a list, their order, or what we say about them.

Quality over quantity

A page exists only if we have written something for it. In September 2026 we removed more than 900 pages that fell short: placeholder "games like" pages for titles we had not written a list for, genre-filtered copies of existing lists, and genre-and-console pages assembled from two blurbs. Each now redirects to the page that answers the question.

Corrections and AI tools

Email support@dixonappstudio.com with the page and the problem; we check every report and fix what is wrong. We use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help draft and check pages; a person at the studio decides what goes on a list and what is published.
